National Atmospheric Weather Outlook is Bunk.....

Back in October, the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) makes the following prediction...

According to scientists at NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center, who produce the outlook, drought conditions also are expected to improve in most areas of the Southwest, while some drought conditions are anticipated in parts of the Pacific Northwest. NOAA Link

Au contraire......

Following an unusually dry and sunny late summer and early autumn, Pacific Northwest weather changed dramatically in early November as a series of strong, wet storms began to affect the region. The most significant was a multi-day rain event caused by copious amounts of subtropical moisture, resulting in one of the wettest periods ever seen in the Northwest. Oregon’s 24-hour rainfall record was apparently broken during the event (pending verification of the observation). Oregon Climate Service Link

In my area alone we have had 12.89 inches of rain this month....where the monthly average is 4.20" (no thats not a typo.....lol) Hood River Weather Link. And the two pics found above show what happens when Mount Hood gets too much rain...it washes out the road with millions of yards of debris and rivers and creeks overflow and cut new paths.
