Senator urges blanket BSE testing for Tokyo-bound exports

Sen. Jim Bunning, (R-Ky.), has sent a letter to U.S. Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns urging him to allow beef producers to perform blanket testing for bovine spongiform encephalopathy for exports to Japan and other countries, according to a copy of the letter made available Thursday, Kyodo News reported.
