An Oregon State University student was arrested yesterday in a failed bomb attempt at Portland's tree lighting ceremony.

A Somali-born Oregon State University student plotted to carry out a car bomb attack at a crowded Christmas tree lighting ceremony in downtown Portland on Friday, but the bomb turned out to be a dud supplied by undercover agents as part of a sting, federal prosecutors said. The university has many international students who bring their diversity and culture to Corvallis (aka Borvallis). I hope this wanna be isn't a chemical engineering major as he seems to be incompetent as well as a loner.

Update: 2:38 pm 19 year old Mohamed Osman Mohamud was a pre- engineering student who had droppped out of school in early October, 2010. Corvallis G-T Link
