Public Comment Period For Casino Start

This week begins the Bureau of Indian Affairs' 45-day public comment period on the resort and casino proposed in Cascade Locks by the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs. Four public open houses are planned during the public comment period: two in Cascade Locks, one in Hood River, and one in Portland. If the new casino is approved by the Secretary of the Interior, construction could begin by early 2008.
